The issues of brittle fracture of high-strength iron-based metal alloys of various alloying systems operated in hydrogen-containing media are considered. Methods, accessories, equipment and samples for long-term strength tests of reinforcing steels and metal high-strength alloys are presented. Influence of quality of charge materials, processes of thermal, thermomechanical treatment and alloying on sensitivity of metal alloys to corrosion-mechanical destruction is estimated.
