The first essay by A. Harry was published in 1920 in the Red Army divisional newspaper: Since 1923, after demobilization from the Red Army, A. Harry has been working as a journalist. His stories and stories were published in the newspapers Izvestia, Leningradskaya Pravda, Kommunist, in the magazines Krasnaya Niva, Chudak, Novy Mir, Molodaya Gvardiya, Zvezda. Separate books essays, stories and stories of the writer were published in the publishing houses "Young Guard," "Soviet Writer," Detgiz. Recently, A. Harry returned to the topic of G. I. Kotovsky, to whom he devoted several stories more than twenty years ago. The present collection includes some of these stories, reworked by the author, as well as the essay "Forest Robber," recently written by the author and published for the first time.
