The issue is devoted to topical problems of organizing and methodological support of the ideological work of party committees in the light of the decisions of the XXVI Congress of the CPSU, the June (1983) Plenum of the CPSU Central Committee and other party documents. The experience of political propaganda and agitation, party studies, educational work with young people, etc. is summarized. A special place is given to counter-propaganda as an integral part of the ideological activity of the CPSU in the conditions of acute confrontation between two polar opposite worldviews, two political courses - socialism and imperialism.
