The book of Sergei Nechaev tells about the life of the wonderful Venetian traveler Marco Polo (1254-1324), as well as about the Polo brothers - father and uncle who traveled to China before him. In 1271, the brothers Polo and Marco went wandering together, and returned home only in 1292. During this time, Marco Polo managed to perfectly establish himself in the service of Kublai Khan, studied Mongolian customs and China well, collected a lot of information about Japan, India and Africa. He outlined all the information obtained in the "Book of Wonders of the World," written from his words by Ru-sticello from Pisa. Its content seemed so surprising to his contemporaries that for a long time few people believed the stories of Marco Polo. Nevertheless, his book was repeatedly rewritten and supplemented. The biography of the traveler, written by Sergei Nechaev, is the result of a detailed analysis of two exciting adventures: the oriental adventures of Marco Polo himself and adventures related to the circumstances of his appearance and the content of his book.
