This tutorial provides general guidelines for developing control programs. The Sinumerik 810840D CNC programming methodology is discussed in detail. Examples of control programs are given, including the use of turning, drilling and milling cycles. The principles of programming and debugging control programs on the EMCO WinNC Sinumerik 840D software processing simulator are considered.
