The first issue of the ongoing scientific publication "Albania Caucasica" - a new platform for international cooperation of researchers - includes selected materials that were presented and tested at the international forums "Caucasian Albania and Ethnocultural Heritage" (Yerevan, 2007), "Caucasian Albania and Lezgi Peoples: historical and cultural heritage and modernity" (Moscow, 2008) and "The place and role of Caucasian Albania in the history of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus" (Baku, 2011), as well as articles written specifically for this collection. The works of authors from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia and France touch upon the most important aspects of the political and ethnic history of Caucasian Albania, the problems of its writing, religion and culture
