The textbook on the basis of GOSTs on ammunition, expert analysis of educational, technical and service literature, taking into account the practical needs of the troops, disclosed, expanded and clarified such important issues as the types of explosives and ammunition used in artillery, the purpose, design and principle of operation of the main elements of the shots, their marking, stamping and coloring. The textbook reflects the procedure for obtaining, accounting, storing and placing ammunition in a firing position, as well as preparing them for shooting and handling them after shooting.
