The book discusses radiation-induced processes arising from the interaction of ionizing radiation with matter, which are the basis for dosimetric measurements. Particular attention is paid to methods of solid-state dosimetry based on thermally stimulated luminescence. Mechanisms of formation of anionic defects in bulk and nanostructured wide-zone oxide dielectrics are described, their luminescent and dosimetric properties are compared.
