The book reveals the origins of the folk worldview of Russians, Ukrainians and Belarusians, traces the periodization of paganism: dualistic animism (the cult of vampires and beregins), the cult of fertility deities (Rod and women in labor), the squad cult of Perun, replaced by Christianity.
