The monograph is devoted to the analysis of the available main versions of the origin of the Chuvash people. Interdisciplinary research covers the chronological framework from the II century. to the middle of the XX century. Savir, Bulgarian, Turko-Mongolian, Hunnic, Persian and Ugric versions are analyzed.
