"Russian Heraldry" by Alexander Borisovich Lakier is not just a work on Russian symbolism and heraldry, which gained popularity due to its thoroughness combined with an accessible and entertaining form of presentation, "One of a Kind" called this study the most authoritative pre-revolutionary reference book of Russia - the Brockhaus-Efron encyclopedic dictionary, especially noting unique materials on the interpretation of coats of arms and the history of Russian seals. The modern version of the book contains part of the author's and many additional illustrations.
