The book is a collection of texts that were written as part of a joint project of the Russian Orthodox Church and Radio Russia under the general title: "Peace. Man. The word." The presented texts cover two thousand years of the existence of Christianity - from the 1st to the 20th centuries. Particular attention in the series of programs was paid to the history of the Russian Orthodox Church. Along with this, the circle of topics affected includes the history of Western Christianity, which is even less known to the modern Russian reader.
