The first chapters of the monograph describe the US Army Air Force Rescue Service on the eve of 2mv and describe its actions on various theater of war. Further - a description of the applied technical means and the results of actions is given. The last chapters describe post-war changes, as well as the actions of the Service in the Korean War.
