2018 is the centenary year of the All-Union Lenin Communist Youth Union. And Sergey Baruzdin wrote this book in 1968, on the fiftieth anniversary of this organization. Most of the citizens of the USSR in their youth were members of the Komsomol and most retained the warmest memories of their stay in the glorious ranks.
