The anthology presents monuments of Latin-speaking historiography of the 11th-12th centuries, relating to the genres of acts and chronicles popular in the Middle Ages, which tell about the most notable rulers of the Holy Roman Empire: emperors Conrad II, Henry IV, Frederick I Barbarossa - and their activities in Germany, Italy and the Middle East. All texts are accompanied by introductory articles and comments. Some translations are published in Russian for the first time.
