The content of the textbook reflects the peculiarities of the formation of professional competencies among cadets and students that meet the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standards of the new generation. A new approach to the development of sustainable skills in handling firearms, the ability to effectively and lawfully use it in the process of operational activities, the integration of the special discipline "Fire training" into the profile of the university has been proposed.
