The book presents and summarizes materials from Early Paleolithic sites and locations of the Caucasus dating back to the Acheulean era (600-100 thousand years ago). The main place is given to six undisturbed cave sites of the North Caucasus and Transcaucasia. Monuments are described according to a single scheme (history and research methodology, stratigraphy, fauna, palynology, anthropological finds, stone inventory, paleogeography, geochronology).
