In the book of the historian and ethnographer Irina Anatolyevna Dinaburg "Pacifida. Riddles of Pacific Atlantis" considers the possibility of the existence of Pacifides in antiquity - a hypothetical continent in the Pacific Ocean. Based on data from various scientific disciplines - geology, history, ethnography, linguistics and others, it is concluded that this hypothesis has a right to exist. The book provides a large factual and mythological material on the history and culture of the peoples inhabiting the Pacific island groups: Polynesia, Micronesia, Melanesia and others.
