This book presents Shaktist philosophy, symbolism and yogic practices, used in some Advaita Vedanta lines. We are used to associating Shaktism - especially Kundalini Shakti, chakras and nadis - with tantra, naths, hathayoga, etc. relatively late directions of Hinduism, but, as the author of the present book convincingly shows, and Shaktism in general, and the concept of kundalini-shakti, and even yogic practices of its awakening are already presented in the Vedas and their philosophical applications - Upanishads and Aranyaks. In particular, the Shaktism of Advaita Vedanta is by no means limited to Soundarya Lahari Shankara. This book claims to describe this ancient Vedic system, including various yogic techniques - asanas, bandhs, mudras, pranayamas and, finally, meditation. In support of his words, the author cites numerous sources, primarily Upanishads and works of Shankaracharya.
