The book presents in a form accessible to non-specialists the basic laws of hydrodynamics, which are illustrated by numerous examples taken from the surrounding life. Among them are the flight of birds and the "secrets" of the fast swimming of dolphins, hydroturbines and nuclear magneto-hydrodynamic generators of electric current, operating without a steam boiler.
