This edition presents a considerable part of Russian history - it contains a complete list of state awards of Russia from the Petrovsky era to the present day. The formation of the award system in Russia is associated with the reign of Peter I. Over the next two centuries, its continuous development took place. As a result, an extensive award system of imperial Russia was formed, which included many orders, medals and insignia. In Soviet times, they created a new system of awards, radically revising the old one. After a long break, already in modern Russia, many of the awards were restored, for example, the Order of St. George and St. Andrew the First-Called.
