Varvara Grigorievna Malakhieva-Mirovich (1869, Kyiv - 1954, Moscow) - author of almost four thousand poems. Her first surviving poems date back to 1883, the last were written a year before her death. A friend of Lev Shestov and Elena Guro, Daniil Andreev and Igor Ilyinsky, translator of Bernard Shaw and "Diversity of Religious Life" by William James, Malakhiev-Mirovich is the oldest author of unofficial literature, who remained faithful to symbolism until the end of his days, but opened up the possibilities of ironically detached realistic writing inside the symbolist system. The basis of the publication was a set of selected poems of the poet, which never appeared in print, as well as the only book of poems "Monastery" (1923) and a few lifetime publications published during his lifetime.
