The next edition of the POLYGON series is dedicated to the latest domestic combat helicopter Ka-50, adopted in 1995 by the Russian Army. Well illustrated with color photographs and graphic drawings, the monograph contains a detailed history of the creation, construction of prototypes and their flight tests, the prospects for the development of the world's first single-seat combat helicopter. When describing the technical appearance of the helicopter, great attention is paid to the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the original coaxial scheme and the crew rescue system, which has no analogues in the world. An overview of the development and current state of the world fleet of combat helicopters is given.
