For the first time in Russian Indology, the book explores the philosophical and religious doctrine of one of the most authoritative representatives of Jainism - Kundakunda, or Kundakundacharya (III - IV centuries). When studying the doctrine of Kundakunda, the author relies on the analysis of four basic treatises: "Pravachanasara" ("The essence of the exposition [teachings]"), "Pancastika-sara" ("The essence of [the doctrine of] five extended substances"), "Niyama-sara" ("The essence of [the doctrine of] abstinence") and "Samaya-sara" ("The essence of the instruction"). Texts whose authorship tradition attributes to Kundakunda, although they could belong to different authors and be compiled at different times, are considered as a whole - Corpus Cundacundae. The study is accompanied by a commented translation of the texts themselves, as well as a translation of the selected chapters of the Tattvartha Adhigama Sutra Umasvati, a dictionary of terms, indexes of names and texts, and a bibliography.
