The catastrophic beginning of the Great Patriotic War is one of the consequences of the failure of the national policy pursued in the USSR after the October Revolution. The utopian ideas of the Bolshevik leaders, who fanned the "world fire" on the bones of the Russian people, deprived fellow citizens of the feeling of the nation and the Motherland, embarrassed them with their false faith in the "brotherhood of all the proletarians of the world," made them experience an unreasonable sense of guilt for pre-revolutionary Russia, which was supposedly a "prison of peoples."
