In 1950, together with the Komsomol Central Committee and the Young Guard publishing house, the Union of Soviet Writers prepared the collection Pioneer Theater to help children's amateur performances. This collection opened up a whole series of similar collections, which were published for three decades - until 1980. At that time, the papers did not regret such things: amateur performances contributed to the involvement of children in the spread of Soviet values. In May 1950, at the request of the Secretary of the Komsomol Central Committee V.I. Kochemasov, censorship allowed the publication of the collection not in 20, but in 35 printed sheets due to the inclusion of Sergei Mikhalkov's plays "Red Tie" and "Special Assignment," "Precious Grain" by Alexei Musatov based on his book "Stozhary." The collection was accompanied by an article with directorial remarks by V. S. Kolesaev, laureate of the Stalin Prize, artistic director of the Central Children's Theater. The selection was made on the basis of socialist principles: the difficult but happy life of Soviet post-war society and its children was opposed to the world of decaying capitalism. But it should be noted that until 1950, two collections without numbering with the same name had already been published.
