In 2001, the first part of the book "Mal Gorodok" was published, covering the history of refractory plants in the late XIX - early XX centuries. Work on the history of refractory production and the city was accompanied by a search for new materials in the archives of St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kyiv, Kharkov, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk. In parallel, the construction of a unique industrial museum of local history was underway, where in May 2003 the Ukrainian Association of Technical Museums Workers held a visiting scientific and practical conference with the participation of specialists in the history of science and technology throughout Ukraine.
