The proposed publication of the outstanding orientalist B.I. Marshak is dedicated to Sogdian art. The work was written shortly before the death of a world-famous scientist. An article about Sogd's art of his heyday (V-VII centuries AD) is addressed not only to specialists, but also to a wide range of readers interested in Sogdian artistic heritage.
