How can life develop in a society where there are neither men nor women, where all creatures are only of the same sex? This question was raised by the wonderful American writer Ursula Le Guin in the novel "The Left Hand of Darkness," which was awarded two highest US prizes for works in the science fiction genre: "Hugo" and "Nebula." Three other novels are no less surprising in design. In them, the writer poses the problem of contacts of different worlds.
