A few centuries ago, a knife along with a bow and arrow was the main weapon on the hunt. However, as the technique of their manufacture and technique of application improved, throwing knives turned into a serious sport, one of the types of entertainment and recreation, which allows not only to improve physically, but also to get psychological relaxation. Considerable importance is attached to throwing knives in the training of cadets of military educational institutions.
