"Monstrolog" was conceived as one narrative, and grew into something completely different. But this is probably the fate of any creative endeavor, and I should have known in advance that the path would be at times painful, full of unforeseen dangers and unexpected ramifications. Writing a book about cannibalistic monsters spreading panic around is relatively simple, much more difficult to explore the impenetrable darkness that reigns inside a person. At times, I myself ceased to understand what exactly I was writing, but I never had a doubt about whether it was worth it.
