Since the second half of the 19th century, more and more Russian women have supported themselves - they enter the civil service, seek recognition in pedagogy, medicine, journalism, even in such a purely "male" field as jurisprudence... A materially independent woman has a choice - to get married and have children, devote herself to the profession, or try to combine both. At the same time, the patriarchal family undergoes significant changes, and a new home way of life arises.
