The proposed textbook was first published as a two-volume book, first in English and Spanish in 1990, and then in French. It is in high demand abroad. In 1999, the book became a laureate of the competition for the creation of new textbooks of the Ministry of Education of Russia. This textbook is addressed to students of higher educational institutions (primarily future engineers and economists) and covers almost all sections of mathematics, but at the same time it is not a set of disparate chapters, but a single whole.
