The main content of the book is the rationale for the need for the United States to have overwhelming superiority in "Air Atomic Power" in order to ensure air supremacy and thereby victory in the event of war with the Soviet Union. At the same time, the author of the book proves the importance of the defense of all member states of the North Atlantic Union and the "Gray Areas," i.e. countries that are not members of NATO, but whose territory is strategically important for the United States. The author divides the development of atomic weapons and "atomic" aviation in the USA and the USSR into three phases. The first phase, the beginning of which he refers to the time of the explosion of the first American atomic bomb, will last 11 years - from 1945 to 1956. Then the second phase will come, and since 1960 - the third. With all the options for possible hostilities in the future, the author of the book proceeds from the far-fetched premise of the sudden attack of the Soviet Union on the United States.
