The course of lectures on Russian history of the XIX century. The outstanding Russian scientist A.A. Kornilov is unique both in terms of clarity of form and clarity of presentation, so is the wealth of factual material, and in this regard it even surpasses the lectures of S.M. Soloviev and V.O. Klyuchevsky. The proposed course in the history of the XIX century. was first read in 1909-1910 academic year to students of the II and III courses of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute of Peter the Great. This course was then published by students on the transcript of lectures. It was then read two more times to students at the polytechnic in the next two academic years, with necessary additions and revisions. The distribution contains a two-volume 1918 in pre-reform spelling and a modern edition of the same course.
