Information is provided on the complex relationship between mining and the biosphere in the process of meeting the dynamically increasing needs of mankind in mineral resources. Natural resources and formed systems of nature management are characterized. The principles of development of underground and quarry space during development of mineral deposits by traditional and innovative technologies are described.
