A new book by Vyacheslav Krasikov is devoted to the study of one of the "pain points" of Russian military history, namely the Northern War of 1700-1721. As opposed to researchers setting out our "national biography" with a huge number of frankly fantastic details and omissions, the author is trying to build the most truthful picture of the Petrovsky era.
