For the first time in Soviet historical literature, the monograph considers in a complex the use of various non-military factors of US power. Washington's use of economic, scientific, technical, political, ideological and other levers of influence (combined with military buildup) to subordinate various countries and peoples to the interests of American imperialism is thoroughly analyzed in the book. Based on numerous documents and materials, a critical understanding of the work of leading overseas political scientists, a systematic review of the US power capabilities and the objective restrictions existing for them is given.
