The purpose of this essay is to group stories about Dzhanger of his contemporaries who visited the Inner Horde, both during his lifetime and shortly after his death, and to oppose to these stories in known cases the information extracted by me from the archive of the temporary council for the management of the Inner Horde, when I was the chairman of this council in 1889-1891.
