"Chronicle of Shipwrecks" tells about 289 accidents that occurred with Russian ships. The book uses materials from the Main Naval Archive of S. Petersburg and the largest military ports. Each description is an excerpt from the investigation of the incident, involving, where necessary, official or private sources. In a number of controversial moments, Sokolov gives his own conclusion about the causes of the incident.
