The "Teaching of Academicians" is certainly one of the main sources for ancient skepticism, this is the main interest of the treatise. As the oldest surviving source of ancient skepticism, as a text that stands at the beginning of Latin terminology used in epistemological discussions, as a brief and vivid introduction to the problems that are relevant to Western philosophy throughout its existence and even to this day.
