Main approaches and methods of modern cryptography for solving problems arising during processing, storage and transmission of information are presented. The main ciphers with open keys, digital signature methods, basic cryptographic protocols, block and stream ciphers, cryptographic hash functions, as well as questions about the design of provably undiscovered cryptosystems and cryptography on elliptic curves are considered.
