The directory provides information on the location and content of archival documents testifying to the places of forced detention of civilians and prisoners of war in the occupied territory of Ukraine in 1941-1944. On their basis, the camps were classified in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Victims of Nazi Persecution." The handbook is designed for employees of archival institutions, social protection bodies, other organizations involved in ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of Ukrainian citizens, for historians researching the history of the occupation of Ukraine during World War II.
