The book contains about 200 old postcards depicting the life of old Minsk. Much attention is paid to photography as the progenitor of a species postcard. The masters who worked in the city from the inception of photography until the beginning of the 20th century are named. Of particular interest is the section "Retrospective of Minsk" with 150 postcards and the same number of photographs.
