The role of buffoons in the formation and development of folk culture and the "red" oral word has long and constantly attracted the attention of researchers in the field of social sciences. Taking into account the works of folklore with the involvement of archival and expeditionary materials collected in recent decades, produced by the author of the book, made it possible to significantly expand deepen the idea of ​ ​ the art of buffoons as an extremely peculiar and huge phenomenon of national culture in its meaning and consequences.
