The textbook, along with questions of general and private pharmacology, highlights the basics of pathophysiology and information about diseases necessary to understand the effect of drugs on the body. The description of the pharmacological properties of each group of medicinal substances ends with a list of drugs, a brief description of them and an indication of the highest single and daily doses according to the X edition of the USSR State Pharmacopoeia. A special section sets out the basic principles for the treatment of acute poisoning with pharmacological agents. The textbook is written in accordance with the program approved by the USSR Ministry of Health and is intended for students of pharmaceutical schools.
