The historical work "Al-kamil Fi-t-ta-rikh" ("The Complete Code of History") by the famous Arab historian of the 13th century Ibn al-Asir is devoted to the history of the Muslim world and covers the period from pre-Islamic time to the era of Mongol conquests. From a scientific point of view, its part is of the greatest interest, including a description of events covering the period from the 9th century. to the middle of the 13th century, which contains valuable information on the history of the Central Asian dynasties of the Samanids, Karakhanids, Seljukids, Gaznavids, Gurids, Khorezmshahs and Hulaguids.
