This book continues the great work begun twenty years ago in the book "The Place of the Execution of Sandarmokh." Then the list of names of those shot in the forest near Medvezhyegorsk during the Great Stalinist Terror was first published. The memory of representatives of other clans is the memory of the people. There is no people without memory, there is no memory without people," these lines are from an appeal to readers of the book "Sandarmokh Place of Memory." Yuri Dmitriev, the head of the Karelian Memorial, wrote this text in the cell of the pre-trial detention center in the city of Petrozavodsk, awaiting a verdict in the second criminal case.
