One of the most interesting and most useful differences in aircraft modeling is the construction of flying model aircraft. While working on the model, the novice aircraft manufacturer must familiarize himself in detail with the structure of the prototype aircraft. This will expand his horizons, increase aviation knowledge. There are now many different classes of flying replica aircraft. Especially among them should be noted: - free-flying with a piston and rubber engine; - radio-controlled; - cord. In our USSR, only cord and radio-controlled copy models have so far become widespread. However, the drawings of our domestic aircraft collected in this book can be used not only for work on cord and radio-controlled copy models. Aircraft with an upper wing (ANT-2, AIR-3, AIR-6, Yak-12A) and sesquiplanes or biplanes (Po-2, R-5, An-2) can successfully serve as a prototype for rubber-powered copies and for free-flying copies with piston engines. For radio-controlled models, copies can be taken as a prototype aircraft of any scheme, although it is desirable that they have engines with a propeller (piston or turboprop). We hope that this book will help amateur aircraft modellers in the construction of all classes of flying copy models. If the drawings are used by athletes, there are special instructions for them in the descriptions of the aircraft.
