The work is devoted to the fratricidal confrontation that unfolded in the occupied territory of the USSR - the war between the police and partisans. It describes fierce hostilities, bloody terror, sophisticated agent combinations, frenzied propaganda, as well as unbridled antics that were arranged by the most "dashing" fighters for popular happiness in their free time or even in the line of duty.
